There are only two words needed to describe Kent, amazing friend.  I say this because he took me fishing today and he also taught me all about my baitcaster setup.  I have only been using a baitcaster since the begining of the year and was not able to cast that far with it.  Kent took the time to explain the adjustments and I am now able to cast about twice as far as I could before we hooked up today and I am not having any backlashing issues.  Once again thanks Kent.  When I told him I wanted to buy another baitcaster reel he let me try out two of his Shimano baitcasters and they are awesome.  I may just have to buy one of those Shimanos.

Now on to the day of fishing, I met up with Kent at his house at approximately 5:30 AM this morning to go fishing.  The first fishing hole turned out to be quite the honey hole and Kent knew the contour probably better than the developers that created it.  He was able to tell me about all underwater humps, brush piles and rock piles.  After only about 30 minutes Kent sent me over to a drainage pipe that feeds into the pond and explained about the contour and told me where to cast.  After only three casts the fight was on with a nice hawg, she hit my BPS Laser Eye Nitro (the egg) like a frieght train.  I fought her for a few minutes before getting her to shore, when we put her on the scale she weighed in at 6.1 lbs.  What a great way to start off this day.  Kent you are the man for being my guide for the day.    After a few hours at this pond we went to a couple more ponds and we did ok, we hooked into a few fish but nothing over  a couple of pounds.

This was an awesome day and Kent is a great teacher and friend.  If you ever get a chance to fish with him you should take advantage of it.

Here is the big fish of the day.

I've noticed a couple things about our man, R-Dubs.

R-Dubs is a hell of a fisherman.

R-Dubs is a horrible cameraman.

You're a NOVA man. What brings you to his neck of the woods?

I am on vacation visiting my daughter in Memphis, TN. My friend Kent (aka RoadWarrior) offerred to take me out fishing and I said heck yeah and we had great day out on the water. Now it is time for me to head out to Coyote Ugly on Beale Street and party until the bars close at 3:00 AM.

The picture quality is my fault, I only had my camera phone with me, I forgot to bring my real camera.  That is why the quality of the photo is the way it is.
