bwell Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 We headed out the Lake Shelbyville spillway for a day of Muskie fishing. It ended up being a beautiful day out, the water was a little high but not to bad. Everybody ended up catching a Muskie, which made for an amazing day of fishing. Thanks farmpond1 for coming with and enjoying the day with us. Heres a picture of the Muskie I caught. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted November 23, 2009 Super User Posted November 23, 2009 Nice photo of a great fish. Congrats. A-Jay Quote
bwell Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 Thanks, that was my first muskie and it was some rush bringing that bad boy in! Quote
tyrius. Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I've only fished the spillway once. It was pretty fun, but we were going for white bass. I'm going to have to go down there again and see if I can tie into one of those!!! Nice fish! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted November 24, 2009 Super User Posted November 24, 2009 You guys are so lucky to have Muskie. Nice fish! Quote

farmpond1 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Thanks, bwell, for inviting me along. It was a great time and the weather was perfect! I was astounded that all of us caught a muskie. How often does that happen?!!! If I hadn't seen it myself, I might not have believed it! The smallest fish was around 38 inches with the biggest being 45 (Matt's other buddy caught the biggest one). I won't say what we caught them on but here's a hint: It was a bait which some members of this forum have spoken of with contempt. Seriously! Quote
