Brendan Duffy Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 Fishing a small resevoir here in the northeast (NY). Water temps anywhere from 50-60 degrees. Pretty shallow too, Im fishing from the shore in fairly clear water (3 foot visibility). Anyways, does anyone have suggestions as to what crankbaits I should be using? Brands, sizes, colors? Lipless or not? Btw, there are some bluegill and crappie in the pond if it matters. Thanks a bunch Quote
farmpond1 Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 This question is a bit too broad to elicit many responses. I suspect most people would suggest, since the pond is clear, you simply try different natural looking baits until you figure out what they want. Quote
L a r r y Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 What type of baitfish do you see in the water? Bluegill, shad?????? You can try just about any color, throw it for a few minutes, if you don't get any bites, change up colors until they start biting. Then you will know what the bass are wanting. Quote
