I guess we'll be there around noon on Saturday. Take a couple hours to stretch and setup camp, then it's go time.

BTW...1 day to go!!! :D

Did you say you wanted a wake-up call around 3AM Sunday? ;)

Absolutely, I would feel left out if you didn't.

Hey Larry, why don't you post some pictures of you guys fishing at our home lake when it was snowing!  :)

Ok.....I'm picking up on the sarcasm. It's not the snow that is making me back out. I'm not going to fish in unsafe winds or lightning, and it appears that is what is forcasted for 2 of the 4 days I'm was planning on being there. If the forcast plays out as predicted I would not take my son out on the boat in those conditions. Therefore, I feel it is irresponsible to chance it with or without him. If that makes me a girly man or less of a fisherman so be it.

Will try Glenn but I am still doing something wrong when I try to post pics.....guess im still computarded.... :P

I wouldn't worry too much about it Brent and Matt. They are just jerking your chains. I don't think none of these guys would drive that far to fish for two days. No sense in having a case of the drag-*** the whole time you're there.

With that said...see you girls when we get back.

Seriously guys, I can understand where Brent and Matt are coming from.  They are probably going to be the furthest driving boat haulers coming and the forecast I'm seeing this morning on TWC indicates this will probably the weekend of the last freeze in the KY area, at least it's gonna get cold and I'm sure there will be some thunderstorms and definitely strong winds involved.  Having been on KY lake one time but that one time seeing 1 day with very strong winds with a southerly component,  it was scary bad.  Really, this is a great time of the year to be on the waters fishing for our favorite fish, it's also the most volatile as far as potential weather and how quickly it can change.  With the distances their driving I'd probably be considering the same plan of action as them.

That said, matt has been in contact with me and has been more than apologetic.  He and Brent have agreed to make things right with me if I don't find a roomie for the week.  My biggest regret is not getting to meet these 2 guys and spend the week fishing and fellowshiping with them.

Anyway.  I'm sure someone who's a third man out in a room and sleeping on the floor would love to have a bed for the week.  PM me ASAP!

i'm pretty bummed about the trip, but even more disappointed in this forum......i've been fishing in ice conditions most of my life. I lived in Eufaula, Ok. and there aren't too many places that freeze up like that one can. (LongM can back me up here)

I don't fish in lightning, and i don't waste money. That's just how I roll. I'm a grown man (maybe overgrown), and nobody is going to try to make me do anything I don't wanna do.

Seriously? Driving 36 hours roundtrip to possibly fish for 24 hours (if i pull 2 , 12 hour days) is not what i consider a vacation.

b

PEACE!

Oh, and I had special surprises made for the Head Chefs as well as Alpster And Longmike. Feel free to email me *@suddenlink.net with your shipping info (MattM offered to pay to ship them to you. Thanks MattM.)

Brent sorry we will miss you. Do not let them get to you. Here in the upper Midwest we fish in terrible weather. Put us on a lake with high skys , 95 degree temperature and 90% humidity like you guys fish in and we will whine.

We've been out of the business for around five years. Can't say that I never tried smoking it straight out of the barn.

My neighbor raises some ol burley to chew on all year.   :-/

I think there's enough water on the west side to keep me and Coldwaterbassin safe.

I talked to CJ and he said we could just hook a tow rope up to him and go where he goes. ;D ;D

I think everyone was just razzing you. By the way does Oklahoma get as nasty as Chicago in the winter. Had to get that in. I don't think I'd go that far if I thought the weather was going to s**k either. If the weather stinks, I'll just see the local sights. By the way, are there any?

Being from up here, cold and rain are a fact of life. I can't stand heavy winds though.

I must have misread something.

Sounds like he left Tennessee more than he went to save TX.

b

(and i'm not sure if you knew this......... but everyone died at the Alamo, so he might wanna practice 'saving azzes') :)

b

Ouch.

Brent, you are a great advertiser here.  You will be missed but EVERYONE understands if you and matt cant make it.

Its not a big deal.  Like Ronnie says, "Keep on keeping on"

BTech, did you try the Marina at Kenlake? I have done this type of adjustment on a motorcycle and may be able to help you work through it. I talked to a co-worker who has an older 20HP Merc that syas it is pretty simple. Maybe we can work through it.

Do you have a manual? Try looking online for a manual and I'm sure there are enough of us that we can figure it out!
