Pitchinkid Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Tick , tick, tick. Times ticking away. Almost time to rip some Kentucky Lake lips. Last 2 weeks are going to drag by. The shenanigans and mischief are going to be outrageous to say the least. I just don't want to be the first one to fall asleep in the camper. That's got bad idea written all over it. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted March 18, 2009 Super User Posted March 18, 2009 If you have ever seen the movie "Waiting" you will know what I mean.... Dont mess with the people that prepare your food. Kinda hard to focus on fishing when you spend your entire day looking for a toilet. Quote
Pitchinkid Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Ok Monty, i get the picture. Speedbead is a made man. Quote

CJ Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 It appears to me that the lakes are on their slow rise to summer pool!!! http://lakeinfo.tva.gov/htbin/lakeinfo?site=KYH&DataType=All&SUBMIT=View+data Quote
Btech Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Hey guys Do y'all know where to get a Map for Lake Kentucky on paper? Doesn't have to be too fancy I'm just learning the navigation but would like to study what i can before leaving. Any links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 20, 2009 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 20, 2009 Maps will be provided for all attendees. It's included as part of your registration fee. Quote
CJ Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Btech, navigation will be fairly simple. All channels are marked just watch out for the points at the mouths of some bays. Not all of them are marked. I'll be glad to go over maps with anybody there the first night. I will be happy to give advice or opinions to any who ask about locations. Quote

R520dvx Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Fluke ... summer pool is 359 .... we are currently at 355.6 and rising as of this afternoon. They are predicting 356 on Sunday. Greg Quote
CJ Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Yup 359. If we get a couple good rains, she'll come right up! I would like to see it hit 360. That puts a lot of bushes in the water. Also, the yellow flowers are starting to come up and just at the right time. If we can get them in the water, look out man!!! Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted March 21, 2009 Super User Posted March 21, 2009 I hope it's 6 feet into the trees and bushes. ;D Quote

Super User cart7t Posted March 21, 2009 Super User Posted March 21, 2009 Wow! That number may double when we get to the lake and post party pics! I sure hope their censored........ I'm sure most will be perfectly fine unless someone tries to sneak a shot or 2 of Long mike and RW doing their floor routines. :shudders: Quote
Super User cart7t Posted March 21, 2009 Super User Posted March 21, 2009 To the locals, I'm really wanting to get into some smallmouth fishing when I'm down there, maybe more so then the LM. In general, what type of lures am I going to need to pack? I've gotten a general idea reading some stuff on-line on seasonal patterns on the lake. Seriously, the SM fishing potential is really getting me stoked as much as the LM fishing. Quote
R520dvx Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 cart7t .... I'd plan on fishing jigs, tubes, and creature baits on the east side of the lake ... maybe some cranks .... they're hitting jerkbaits right now but that will be over by the time you get here. Quote
