Alrighty, I put out the same request last year...

Is there anyone that has an extra PFD that they would be willing to let me use for the week?

Anything short of a Barbie vest will work. ;D

If no one responds directly, don't sweat it, boaters always

have an extra jacket or two.

8-)

Check with Alpster. He's keeping a list.

I sent Bassinsoldier a PM at 3:45 yesterday. Long Mike should be helping him get squared away.

Like RW said, almost every boater carries at least one extra PFD. No boater, by law, will allow you a seat on his/her boat unless one is available.  If you are in my boat and I'm running the big motor, I will insist that you wear it.  The great majority of other boaters will do the same.

Thanks Johnnie Law.   ;)

Wayne, I'll be driving in late Saturday afternoon.

Are you picking up the girls on the way in or do we have to go get 'em?

Long Mike is handling the room arrangements, if anyone still needs a roommate.

Thanks Mike!

I don't know yet. I'll be stopping at every Hooters along the way; looking for fisherettes. However, you are much prettier than I am, so I may have to drag you (and your wallet) back up the road to do a little coaxing. After all, that's what friends are for.

I'm getting ready to head out the door and mail my registration form with a money order. I know the deadline is coming up and thought I post the info and PM anybody who needs more specific info from me.

Just an odd Question - Anyone use 2 Way radios on the trip ? We got a set at my shop and i was just thinking how it would work out if boats carried one to keep in contact (like cell i guess).

I dont remember anyone using them in Alabama, but the dang lake is so big that I dont how well they are going to work.  Everyone on the trip last year had a cell phone and we kept in pretty regular contact.

If you have room, bring 'em.  Couldnt hurt.

Ok I figured Cell would be the best bet just didnt know if i should bring my set at the shop - Thats how my buddies keep in touch on Wiley.

A little word of advice SMfisher, be sure your rods are strapped down on Bootens boat. He threw mine out because of fear of getting a butt kickin one day. Luckily The rod sock had an air bubble in it and floated. He plays dirty.

I don't know if cell phones will work while we are on the lake, but provided that you have supplied me with your contact number, all of the attendees will be PMd with a list of of other attendees and their contact numbers before we leave for the lake.  That said, I refuse to be responsible for any obscene calls you may receive from Burley.

Come to think of it, I find it odd that Burley has not provided me with HIS contact number. Very strange. :-/

Those who need it, have it.  ;)

Plus I don't want Medium Mike sending me text messages at all hours of the day.

Burley, what's a text message?  Never used it.  Never will.  Don't forget that I'm an Old Fart.  I use a cell phone to talk to real, live people. That's why it's called a (tele)phone.   If I want to send you a text message, I'll write you a friggin letter.  :D
