Super User burleytog Posted January 29, 2009 Super User Posted January 29, 2009 KY licenses can be purchased here: https://fw.ky.gov/license/olpsintro.aspx TN licenses can be purchased here: https://www4.wildlifelicense.com/tn/ Quote
mattm Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 My wife willingness to let me go has doubled in the last 2-3 days. By my guage were up to about 28% now. 72% more to go baby. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 29, 2009 Super User Posted January 29, 2009 Do we need a Tn Liscense as well? No, we'll keep you out of Tennessee water. There is some overlap where either state license works, but you don't need to be concerned. It's only an issue for Tennessee boys, like me! 8-) Quote
Btech Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Ok thanks guys - Im ordering a Kentucky Fishing Liscense today for the week - Also looking at buying a boat if taxes are good So i may be showing up with a boat Darn baitmonkey ... grew into a Boat monkey Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted January 29, 2009 Super User Posted January 29, 2009 Got my room booked, and registration sent in to Alpster. Can I leave tomorrow? Gonna be good seeing you and the wife again Gary. I with you bud, getting real impatient here too. I stopped and looked at my local lake today, (Stonewall Jackson) and the ice was still about 3 inches thick. Gonna take a while for that to melt. :-[ Hey buddy. Let's try to make timne to do more than say hi, how ya doin' this trip. We ran of trip last trip. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted January 31, 2009 Super User Posted January 31, 2009 ROAD TRIP UPDATE..... I have 26 paid sign-ups for the trip now and several "check is in the mail" promises. The deadline for reserving blocked out rooms at KenLake is only 5 days away!! I am trying to get the deadline extended, but I can't promise anyone a room after next week. SO GET SIGNED UP! Check out the "Who's Coming" list on the website. This is turning into a real "Bassapalooza". Better get signed up soon or you may miss out. Regardless of room availability, we will stop accepting registrations at the end of February so we can make all the arrangements for the festivities. I am not trying to be a butthead here. Last year we had almost 2 dozen members either back out at the last minute or just not show up. This is why we instituted the "registration process". You must be registered (which means paid up) by February 28 or you will not be included in the plans we have for the registered members (catered dinner, special speaker, tee shirt, free dinner meals during the week, etc.). You can still come to fish the lake and we will try to help you, that's just how we roll, but you will be on your own for rooms/roommates, meals, boat to fish in, etc. Please don't count on showing up at the last minute and being able to participate in all the activities we have planned as you will likely be disappointed. The easiest thing to do is fill out a sign up form at the website and send it with a check to Alpster and get yourself a room, roommate or a camping spot and join us for a trip to remember! http://kentuckylake.bassresource.com/ -- GET SIGNED UP!!! mattm Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I'm not getting too excited just yet, but it looks like Brent and I may be able to add some Texas boys to the list. Heck who am I kidding. I'm so excited I'm about to pee my pants. Quote
Jim Grouch Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 How many people showed up for the past trips? Quote
mattm Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Shocked I'm saying this but I'm in. Brent and I are trying to work out driving together right now. If he ends up not being able to go all I will need is someone to split a room with and I'm there. Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted February 2, 2009 Super User Posted February 2, 2009 I am requesting that all Road Trip attendees PM me with the following information. 1. Do you have a room, but need a roommate? 2. If you do not have room are you willing to split the cost with someone who does? 3. Will you be bringing your boat? If so, do you have any empty seats? 4. Are you looking for a seat on a boat 5. What is your real name and contact phone number? With the exception of real names and phone numbers, I will compile the information you send to me and will post an updated list regularly. The names and phone numbers will be sent via PMs to all of the attendees immediately prior to the trip. Please note: I will NOT honor any requests to be placed as far away from Burley's room as possible. ;D Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted February 2, 2009 Super User Posted February 2, 2009 Sent you a PM Mike. Also, to the member who sent me a PM about using my tent for the week, it is still available. Sorry I didn't PM you back, I was cleaning out my PM's and accidentally deleted some in my inbox instead of the outbox. :-[ If you still need it let me know and I will bring it along. Quote
mattm Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 WOO HOO. Just heard from Brent and it sounds like we are both in. I'll have my check in the mail by Wed. Ronnie. Look forward to meeting everyone, but I'm not sure about the 12 hour truck ride with Brent . Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted February 3, 2009 Super User Posted February 3, 2009 If you are planning on making the trip and staying at Kenlake Lodge, and you have not yet made your reservation, be advised that the lodge has lost power due to the recent ice storm. Because of this the lodge is unable to make, change or cancel reservations. The lodge advised me today that it will probably be two weeks before power is regained. Quote

Super User Alpster Posted February 4, 2009 Super User Posted February 4, 2009 Just a 'heads up' to all who are going on the "RoadTrip". LONG MIKE has graciously offered to help me out by keeping track of and helping organize roommates and boat seats. If you have a question about these accommodations, don't be surprised if you hear from Long Mike instead of me. I am sorry for any confusion this may have caused. I appreciate Mike's help as I have a lot on my plate trying to move my house, etc. Also I have updated the website with the latest attendees and it's shaping up to be an amazing trip!!! GET SIGNED UP!!!!! Ronnie Quote
