Super User Long Mike Posted April 2, 2009 Super User Posted April 2, 2009 Strikekinger, dinners Monday and Tuesday evenings will be held at the Bay View building, which is located on Bayview Rd. Quote
strikekinger Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 That is on the State Parks grounds I believe? I have not registered for anything and really was just wanting to come and sit in on Steve Parks Rage Tail presentation on Monday night and then I will have to head back home. What time is the dinner time and hwo will that work. I just trying to find my way around a little not knowing much about what is going on. Sorry, I am new to the board but not new to fishing. Thanks Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted April 2, 2009 Super User Posted April 2, 2009 Personally, I fail to see why anyone should be concerned about the weather. sure, it may be chilly for a day or two, and a bit windy, but there plenty of areas to fish on the West side of the lake and plenty of boat launches to go with them. There should be no reason for anyone to drop out of the trip because of the weather. Quote
BassinSoldier Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I kinda agree with Mike. On one hand, some of the best fishing I've experienced on Kentucky Lake was during what most consider to be terrible conditions, and secondly, the weather changes so much so quick around here that the "forecast" could very well change by that time. Just my .02...I'm all geared up and ready to go...I can't wait! Quote

There should be no reason for anyone to drop out of the trip because of the weather. We both hate to do it, but the trip will be 1800 miles for Brent and 1300 for me one way. We can't leave until Sunday and have to depart on Friday that leaves 4 days fishing. One of those days could be too windy to fish safely and another has lightning in the forcast. Thats a long drive, in tight times, with the possibility of fishing two days. We are trying to work everything out with Cart. We aren't just throwing him out on his butt b/c we realize what a bind were putting him in. Were making ever effort to handle the situation fairly and I believe Cart feels the same. I have greatly appreciated his understanding in the matter. If someone that is tripling up on a room and is sleeping on the floor wants a bed Cart has one. You would really be helping me and Brent from *** out by taking him up on the offer to move up off the floor. Sorry everyone. I was really looking forward to this, and it is killing me to miss it. Super User Jimzee Posted April 2, 2009 Super User Posted April 2, 2009 The only thing that will keep me from fishing this lake next week is frozen water. I can't see the lake flash freezing over so I'm good to go. Some of my better days of fishing always happen when the weather is terrible. Quote

I could understand if there were a family emergency or something along those lines, but the weather forecast is scaring you away? That's not right. At least we now know who the REAL anglers are now! ;D Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 3, 2009 Super User Posted April 3, 2009 Any and all of you fella's that are sleeping on the floor as an extra in a room. I've now got a bed for you in a room. The total cost for Sunday - Thurs night is $157 total. Sure beats sleeping on the floor. PM me ASAP if interested. I will be leaving SATURDAY morning. I should have wireless access at the lodge Sat evening to get on the forums if it takes that long to fill the room. Quote

I don't mind if I'm fishing in rain, wind, hail, snow, sleet whatever. Just as long as I'm out fishing, I'm having a great time and not working or sitting at home! Ya... sometimes it might be cold and misserable but you still are out fishing and not cooped up inside. Plus, I can't wait to hang out a week with people that love bass fishing as much as I do!!!!! Plus, anything is better than 20-30 degrees and snowing like here at home haha Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 3, 2009 Super User Posted April 3, 2009 Cart7, Marlboro Lights are $42.00 a carton. :'( I don't smoke them but a gal at work said they're up to $60 a carton on the Illinois side of St Louis. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 3, 2009 Super User Posted April 3, 2009 Well d**n, now that Brent isn't going to be there, who am I going to punch in the groin? Wayne, prepare thy testicles for a medieval beatdown! ;D Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted April 3, 2009 Super User Posted April 3, 2009 Burley, should I be wearing a cup when we go out on Wednesday? Never thought I would need it when fishing. ;D Quote

CJ Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Kinda crazy! I expect to see razorwire around the fields next year and padlocks on the barns. You ain't got any floor scraps left from last year do ya Burley? Might could start an underground market? Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 3, 2009 Super User Posted April 3, 2009 We've been out of the business for around five years. Can't say that I never tried smoking it straight out of the barn. Quote
Triton21 Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 If there is a prize for the first one to arrive at Kenlake FRIEFIGHTN15 will probably win. I talked to him a little after 2:00PM and he was about to hit the road. Going to drive straight through. Kelley Quote
