Super User cart7t Posted February 8, 2009 Super User Posted February 8, 2009 So far Tuesday is filled in my boat. I'll be taking Burley off Scotts hands for a day. Sat/Sun is a probable for SMFisher. That still leaves Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri AM. More great news. I'll have my new stereo installed and I've decided to give out my playlist for the week. Saturday I'll be playing "All the best of the Potsville Pennsylvania Polka Quartet." Sunday is my Tribute to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Monday I'll have "The Very Best of John Teshe" Tuesday, Burley will be swinging his hips and brake dancing to the Bee Gees! Wednesday is Slim Whitman day. Thursday I'll have a rare recording of Bill Dance and Roland Martin singing popular Love Songs of the 60's. Friday the MP3 gets put into the random mode. Don't be surprised to hear everything from Broadway musicals to Trance music. It's a potpourie of fun. This should tempt some fishermen now. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 8, 2009 Super User Posted February 8, 2009 You bring The Bee Gees, I'll bring Hall & Oats and Flock of Seagulls. Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted February 8, 2009 Super User Posted February 8, 2009 Yup. But what's wrong with the Ink Spots? Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 8, 2009 Super User Posted February 8, 2009 I wouldn't mind to spend a day with Long Mike, but I don't want to spend time in a KY jail. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted February 8, 2009 Super User Posted February 8, 2009 OK Burley, it's going to be you and me "mano a mano." I will give you the choice of weapons. Personally, I would suggest a 1/2 oz jig in blue/black flake. ;D Quote
abelfisher Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Boys, I sure wish I could join all of you on Kentucky Lake. Best of luck to all of you! Quote

Super User cart7t Posted February 12, 2009 Super User Posted February 12, 2009 I just got off the phone with the guy at the Marina. They had only 4 covered slips left for the week of the get together. I went ahead and snared all for of them. One is obviously for myself and a second is for Brent and mattm, my roommates. The other two are up for grabs. Since I'm coming in on Sat. I took mine for Sat - THurs nights. The others I've held for Sun - Thurs with a credit card. If you need a covered slip you need to PM me so I can give you the information you need to call them and get the slip put into your name. There are more un-covered slips available, those do have electric. He also stated that there are often slips the big boats use that are unoccupied that could also be used. PM for details. UPDATE I got a voice mail from Dale at the marina this afternoon after talking to him at lunch. He has 2 more covered slips available for Sunday - Thursday. I was unable to contact him back to reserve those as well. One slip I have is taken by Uncle Leo. Simple Joe has dibs on the second. Dale indicated to move fast. We're going to be down at KY lake in the heart of Crappie season, the slips are going to go soon if you don't grab one. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 13, 2009 Super User Posted February 13, 2009 New update. See above. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 13, 2009 Super User Posted February 13, 2009 For any non-boater interested, I still have Thursday open and I may... may just drive the 10-15 miles on Thursday and put in on Barkley lake at the State Park on the Little River arm. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted February 13, 2009 Super User Posted February 13, 2009 Cart, I am open on Thursday. What do you think? Quote
Super User cart7t Posted February 13, 2009 Super User Posted February 13, 2009 Let's do it. Maybe we can roust up a group to go try. The State park is only 15 miles away. In fact, there's a ramp right on 68 that's less than 10 miles from the lodge. Quote
