Super User Jimzee Posted December 26, 2008 Super User Posted December 26, 2008 Hmmmm.... Do I really want to use leave time to spend a week with some of you people? What would it take to make this happen? You and Tom would have a blast if you went. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted December 26, 2008 Super User Posted December 26, 2008 Hmmmm.... Do I really want to use leave time to spend a week with some of you people? What would it take to make this happen? There are a couple of things, but civility and common decency prevent me from saying anything. You and Tom would have a blast if you went. I don't take him on long fishing trips. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted December 30, 2008 Super User Posted December 30, 2008 Well well well...The Burleynator may be able to make an appearance in SW KY in early April. I'll go ahead and alert the local authorities. Maybe if they know what's coming they can prepare ahead of time. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted December 30, 2008 Super User Posted December 30, 2008 Shimano said they would sponsor me on the trip, provided I stop using their products. They said something about me giving them a bad name. :-/ Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted December 30, 2008 Super User Posted December 30, 2008 It's probably just a coincidence that the Kentucky National Guard will be conducting "Training Exercises" while we are there! 8-) Quote
Pitchinkid Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 All i know is that im not aloud to have any little red head kids come knocking on the door 10 years or so down the road. Thats the only limits my wife set for me. Quote

I Love BassResource Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Is booten going to be able to make the trip to kentucky? I dunno, I need to shack up with someone if I do. My relocation to Guntersville is still very probable, so if I do move I'm not sure what kind of leave I'll be able to take. I'd love to go though... Quote

Low_Budget_Hooker Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Folks, a reminder to go to the site that Alpster built just for this trip. http://kentuckylake.bassresource.com/ A HUGE thanks is in order to Ronnie for doing this as well. He's been extremely busy this fall/winter but still managed to get this done for us and believe me, there was a lot involved. great Job Ronnie, THANKS!! Now go to the site and sign your butt up!!!! Quote
Super User Alpster Posted January 3, 2009 Super User Posted January 3, 2009 OK Boys, It's time to get signed up!!!! I will accept PAID registrations until the end of February, but you must make your room arrangements by February 5th. After 2/5/09 rooms reserved for members will be released to the public and you will be on your own for a place to stay. Here's how you do it............ Go to the website http://kentuckylake.bassresource.com/ Click on the "Learn More" button at the bottom of the opening page. Click on the "Sign-Up" link and open the "Registration PDF" form. You can fill out the form on your computer and return it by email by clicking on the "Submit by email" button at the top of the form, or print the form and return it with your check by regular mail to me. Follow the instructions on page 2 of the form to get your room reserved. When I receive your check, I will post your name on the "Who's Coming" page and we will see you there. If you need any help at all, send me a PM and I will help you get it done. Include your phone # in the PM and I will call you back and do everything for you. We had some problems last year with last minute 'sign ups' and 'drop outs' and it caused a lot of problems with planning meals & accommodations. It is very important that you get signed up and paid up as soon as possible so we know how many will be coming. There are a lot of details that depend on knowing who and how many will be making the trip. It will be a great help to me if you get signed up ASAP. I will do whatever I can to help you, but you must send me a PM for me to help. Thanks in advance for getting signed up early and helping to make this the best "Road Trip" ever. NOTE: If you don't get the form to me and pay for your registration, we will assume you WILL NOT be there. No registrations will be accepted after March 1st 2009. God bless, Ronnie Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 How much of a disaster would it make for the rest of you if I were only able to make it for lets say thurs and friday? Is it realistic? FFI - AKA Matt Crum Quote
Super User Alpster Posted January 4, 2009 Super User Posted January 4, 2009 Matt, There are no disasters on a road trip. We only have fishing, fellowship and great time together. You can come and participate as much as you can. If you want to participate in the Wednesday night dinner, get a T-shirt, etc. then you should still register. You will also need to make arrangements for a place to stay while you are there. Hope to see you there! Ronnie Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted January 4, 2009 Posted January 4, 2009 Ronnie, Thanks for the reply. I didn't explain as well as I would have liked. I just wanted to make sure that if I did a partial that I didn't create a major pain in the rear for the organizers. Thanks, FFI - AKA Matt Crum Quote

Super User burleytog Posted January 5, 2009 Super User Posted January 5, 2009 Hmmm, I wonder if 40 lbs. of C4 will be enough for the week? Oh hell, it's on sale, so I'd might as well bring 80 lbs. Teacher always said that if I didn't have enough for everyone to not bring any at all. Quote
