Well i finally got to take the boat out since i got back from my deployment on saturday. we headed to the lake tuesday afternoon so we could get up early to fish wednesday. so we get out on the lake wednesday morning and my boat is running very slowww for some reason and my buddy had put a new prop on while i was gone. so we kept fishing anyways cuz it was running fine just slow. water was 71 degrees and MUDDY. i never seen the lake this muddy. went to a favorite cove of ours threw topwater poprs, wakebaits, buzzbaits pretty much every topwater bait we could but nothing and there was shad all over gettting chased and blown up on. so we figured we would head over to some other coves and check them out. oh and the water was down like 15ft normal places where we would drive over with the boat is like 10ft outta the water never seen it like this not as much cover. hit up another cove i start throwing a ***. first cast next to a twig a massive two bumps but i missed the dang fish. my wife throws to the back of the cove with a chatter bait and catches to be the only fish of the day. went to the next cove over and missed two fish on  a sweet beaver next to a rock wall, and also missed a fish swirl on a spinnerbait. all in all a good day. so we looked at the prop and come to find out my buddy forgot to put the bushing in. didnt even think about lookin at it before we went out. so now we have to find a bushing and hopefully be back in business.
