L a r r y Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Well after work, I met up with Steezy. We met at his pond down the street from his house, and I've got to say that this place has a lot of potential. A few more baitfish and this place is golden. Steezy, looks like we might have to take a catch net and head out to the wooded park and bring in some of the bream from there. Also, he let me get my paws on one of his rods. I've got to say that the Steezy combo is something to behold. It's so light, but you can tell that the quality is in the rod/reel that it will be able to handle just about anything you throw at it.....Thanks for that, now I've got to get my two bikes and trailer sold, and I know what my next purchase will be. Well I was able to pull two out tonight before heading home. So here are a couple of pics of tonights catch Quote

Super User Bassn Blvd Posted September 19, 2009 Super User Posted September 19, 2009 Sounds like you had a good time. It was pretty cool of Steezy to let you use his rod and fish his home pond. Quote

Catch em, lip em, and take a pic, then release em..easy to do. From over 20 years of being in the aquarium hobby and maintaining MONSTER FISH - DOVII.. ARROWANAS (known glass bangers and jumpers) and having them jump out of the tank and onto the floor, and over 30 years of fishing and taking a quick picture and them being on the ground for less than 10 - 20 seconds, I've never lost one single fish or come back to the area and see one that I have potentially caught die. Now if there is something that have missed through out the years, could you please point me to that information so that I may read through it and possibly change the way that I handle them Quote

Super User Dan: Posted September 19, 2009 Super User Posted September 19, 2009 Honestly, I just have a lot of doubts about bass and slime coats and their vulnerability. Quote
daviscw Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Great fish! Don't worry about the grass thing, people must not have anything better to do. Quote
looking4structure Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Nice fish.I've heard that the STEEZY is an awesome set up. Quote

L a r r y Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 Nice fish.I've heard that the STEEZY is an awesome set up. Sorry I let your question go unanswered. But the STEEZY combo is one heckuva setup. It is like holding a ultralight combo in your hands, but having the strength of a heavy action rod. It is unbelieviable. Now take it that I didn't catch one fish while using Steezy's setup, I've seen some of the catches he has hauled in and he has done it with no problems. This is a combo that I would love to purchase, now I just have to bring myself to getting over the price tag Quote

Not like your laying them on hot concrete and kicking them around. Back on subject, since we seemed to have gotten sidetracked, nice fish man, and also welcome to the board. Quote

L a r r y Posted October 9, 2009 Author Posted October 9, 2009 I've gotten away from the BIG Monsters. I'm housing some Green Terrors, Festae, and a common pleco. I've got them in a 225 so hopefully that will be enough room for them all. I'll have to add a couple more hiding places. Who are you on MFK and what are you keeping? Quote
Thai Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 EatsomeKiwis lol, currently I've got a 16" Male midas in a 210 Quote
