EastTexasBassin Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 It was pouring down pretty hard when I got up yesterday, and as I started packing up my fishing stuff my wife gave me that look. "You're going to go fishing in this??? You're crazy" By the time I got out on the water the rain slowed down quite a bit. It lightly sprinkled on and off throughout the day, and when it was sprinkling the bite was AWESOME! I caught most of my fish on cavitron buzzbaits. I also caught a few on a pop-r, a few on a spro bbz-1 shad, and a few on a ragetail shad. For some reason, I couldn't catch a fish on a jig yesterday. Very strange for me, but the topwater action was a blast. While it was lightly raining, I caught 4 bass on 4 consecutive casts with my cavitron next to this one laydown. Good times! Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted September 14, 2009 Super User Posted September 14, 2009 Nice fish. The buzzbait is one of my go to baits. Reguardless of the weather. Quote

aarogb Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 There's nothing like a buzzbait in the rain. Nice fish bud. Quote
mrlitetackle Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 good job man!!! I must say the topwater bite it my personal favorite... ...and, all of those fish have a very nice size to them.... must have been a blast!!! Quote
EastMarkME Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Went out for 90 minutes Monday and Tuesday at dusk and threw the Cavitron. Got 5 Monday and 2 last nite...all keepers up to about 3 1/2. Missed a few too. Both nites I had 2 huge brick-like splashes happen in the same cove but not near my casting reach. They were real active til dark. :-) Gotta love that. Mark Quote
