Super User Shane J Posted September 5, 2009 Super User Posted September 5, 2009 A friend of mine told me about this little pond (4 acres or so) behind his house that nobody fishes, that some old timer told him held big bass. He wasn't kiddin'!! I hit it yesterday, and caught 14 nice bass, including a 4-15, and a 4-4, plus a bunch around the 2 1/2- 3lb range. Today I went back out, and caught 16 bass, including my new PB, a hefty 7 lb, 10 oz honey I named "Baby". Both days, all fish were caught on Rage Tail baits, including the new Eeliminator and Thumper Worm, but the majority (including my PB fish), were all caught on the Rage Shad. The bass were mostly all holding very close to shore. Incredible pond, and is my new favorite secret spot! The pics were taken at 5:00am, so they're a little dark, but you get the idea! http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/halla091804/fish/ShanePB5.jpg http://i801.photobucket.com/albums/yy299/halla091804/fish/ShanePB4.jpg Quote
NewAngler Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Nice. I wish I had a small pond to fish. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted September 5, 2009 Author Super User Posted September 5, 2009 Thank you. It was definitely a lot of fun! I was fishing out of my jon boat, and this girl turned me around in circles, and pulled me about 30 yards! Quote
rondef Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 WTG Shane, that is one nice looking hawg you got there. Quote
avid Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Nice hog y'got there. Suggestion. When using photobucket there is a way to post the photo directly into the post instead of a link. When you put your cursor over the picture at photobucket the last item on the dropdown says "IMG CODE" copy that then back at bassresource paste it into your post but do not click on the "insert image" icon. The photobucket IMG CODE has all the html needed to post the pic directly into the post. avid. Quote
