But I finally got a decent 4-5 lbs bass on a spinnerbait while float tubin' in Mazonia Illinois. Didnt have time to put her on the scale, she was outta the water longer than I like anyway. Quote

Uncle Leo Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Which lake? Almost looks like Ponderosa. I fish there quite often this year pulled a couple of 4's and a bunch of 3's. Larger fish are in 12- 20 foot of water. Quote

I'd kill to be able to use a float tube! We have some seriously great ponds around here in a wildlife refuge. Some of them are very remote and you have to whack your way threw some thick stuff to get around the ponds. I'd kill to be able to use a float tube but they don't allow any flotation devices. Swilly78 that sure looks like some serouis fun right there. I guess you could drop shot with the line hooked to your toes. ;D Quote

I wear a set of Chest Waders, that you cant see because of my life preserver. Wading boots and fins. They sell an awful lot of accesorys for these setups, but being part redneck, Ive found that light rope and heavy string work just as well as $20 rod leashes. Its certaily worth a look. Quote

NO WAY!! i tell you wont would be fun though man sneak up to one and swim under and grab their toes. man i bet they would flip right out the tube. reminds me when i use to swim off the boat and i would swim under the boat unexpected and grab my buddies nieces toes. man did they scream! lol Quote
