Ok, first off I'm a bank fisherman who fishes small local ponds/lakes. The water I am fishing is not very deep, and it typically ranges from (3-7feet at most). Pretty much all the ponds/lakes I am fishing are covered with weeds, there is some open water available throughout the vast area of weeds, but for the most part the lake is covered with the stuff.

I have tryed crawling/swimming lizards over and around the weeds, and I have caught 1 small bass doing this, but mostly nothing, I have also tryed crawling a yum wooly hawgtail over the weeds, and that has resulted in nada. I have tryed fishing at night with a black/blue chatterbait/trailer and have caught a fish doing that as well, but again it was a small fish and that was the only hit within 2 hours of fishing. They just aren't biting. I have also tryed throwing a weightless trickworm and it got a few sunfish bumps, but I didn't spend too much time using it. Oh, and I've also tryed using a buzzbait during dusk in the areas where I could pull it off without catching weeds....didn't get a touch.

So what would you try? Would you target deeper water or such? The next baits I plan to try are fishing a senko really slow, and slowly fishing a t-rigged baby brushhog and a ribbontail worm. Thanks for any suggestions!

Ya you should spool up some braid and throw a spro frog around. The Spro popper might be a good choice if you want some extra noise to get attention. I'd also suggest getting a heavy weight and toss around a sweet beaver some. Depending on the pond and the type of grass density there is a VERY good chance they are stacked up in there and you need to punch thew to get to them. Also if the entire pond is covered instead of just covering the pond right away with casts. Take a few minutes and observe the pond. Try to figure out where it might be deepest. Do you see any feeder creeks that could attract fish or provide them with a depth change? Maybe a weed line makes a point or a couple holes in a otherwise covered pond. Anything that's different that could draw fish to it. I'm sure you'll start caching fish soon but there is one thing you have to get used to. YOUR GOING TO BE PULLING OFF WEEDS!! Get used to it and keep at it. Ponds with allot weeds provide a great buffet line for Bass.

Maybe you need to downsize. Lately tubes have been hot for me. I also have been getting fish on a 1/8 oz black jig with a Paca Chunk trailer.

A lot of dinks here in South Jersey, but some decent ones are in the mix as well. My buddy and I have noticed they are holding tight to the shore and under the scum mats.

I fail to see how throwing a spro bronzeye is going to help him if he has been throwing lizards and other top waters with no effect.  The popper would be a different presentation that may produce but the normal spro frog I dont see producing here.  I would try as others suggested with tossing a tube or sweet beaver around the weed edges and in pockets.  I would also try ripping a shallow jerkbait or crank through the area if that is a possibility.

A hollow frog is nothing like a buzz bait or a lizard. It is a bait that can be kept stationary to further tempt the bass into striking. A very good choice around cover IMO. Make the frog walk with long pauses in between. I would try to keep it simple as well. Try a T-rigged ribbon tail worm worked dead slow. Also, throw a Rat-L-Trap tight to cover for some reaction strikes.

I love ponds like this, and my best luck has come on a Rage Shad or Toad, weightless. Run 'em right through the stuff, and stop when you get to a hole and let it sink a little, then begin a slow retrieve, and I would bet that will get you bit!
