me and my brother went to hunting run lake today and shockingly the water was clear and beautiful even after all that rain from yesterday. i set me two personal records my pb 4.2 lbs 20" long and my smallest bass. both on the 5" senko.

i was taking some advice from wayne p so i commited to using the wacky rig. my finesse was to light for my pole so i using the senkos 5" green pumpkin and 4" watermelon black flakes. . kvd coffee scent 7" oncho and bps tournament sticko 7 1/8" both watermelon red. i had most luck with the 5" senko but didnt have enough to carry out the day. the sticko no luck with. kvd i did have a lil but small guys wanted it more. my 4" did ok but man next time im grabbing up enough 5" senkos for the day. my brother caught a couple his biggest being a pound. he was using the zoom pumpkin fire tail. goby something and a few others like the mepps commit minnow. together probably close or over 20. we had alot of misses and some just for the ride. one i got to the boat in the boat and he manage to get off hook bounce off my leg back in the water. i think we lost one to tragedy and one i was afraid of harming so gave him the hook. manage to hurt my self too today throwing my hula popper was caught up and when jerk to get loose lure flew right at me and nail dead in the elbow.caused a lil cut and a lil swelling. lol but heres some pics just three of the fish and the lake.

1st and 2nd pic the same fish. 3rd is 1.5 lbs. 4th is a what the??

Congrats!

Really nice looking water too. Love that dark clear water, and the dark bass that go with 'em

Not surprising how different the stick worms fish. Never enough Senkos lol.

BTW: Set your camera to macro for the sonar screen shots -then tell us what they are of.

Your not kiddin'. Those dark clearwater bass are great. Especially with the red flairing gills............

Endless, thats a nice fish. Also, as for the hula popper, at least you didn't get hooked. I had a floatin' minnow come back at me bearin' three size eight gammys. Stuck one in my middle finger......... Anyways, great fish. Did it do some acrobatics????

actually the bass stayed low. i guess it was trying to get near the branches or something but it never had the chance lol. when i set the hook. it was set and had no choice to but come in. i set the hook in the back of his mouth on the top mouth mouth plate.

That pic of the smallest fish could quite possibly be the "coolest" pose for a fish pic that I've ever seen. ;D
