Well this half-poundish LM bass has a lot of firsts in it for me. It is my first bass on a casting setup. It is also my first bass on a crainkbait! Here's a picture of the place I caught it.

That's where I caught him. I was below the dam. Now for the fish.

That's a 1/2oz Rat-L-Trap in a bleeding firetiger. I got it on sale at Wal-Mart, and I've never seen that color again.

This pond has a ton of brushpiles/snags in it. I though to myself, "I really shouldn't be throwing a trebled lure bait." Well on my fourth or fifth cast; I thought I had got hung up. I was in the process of cussing myself for losing such a neat colored plug, when the snag started pulling line off. I'm thinking, ( :-? a stump shouldn't do that) Well I reeled him in and there you have him. I was using a MH/F Fenwick Eagle GT Triggerstik and a Lew's Laser casting reel with 12 lb. Big game on it. Now I'm ready for the 4-5lb fish!  ;D

It's a small community near me called Hodgen. That dam used to be where all the surrounding area got it's water. That was before Wister Lake was formed.

Right in there-abouts

That is sort of what I was thinking  ;D. My dad was up on the dam just messing around. I wanted him to hurry and take the picture so I could get the fish back in the water.
