Been forever since I've posted, but caught this sucker at Clear Lake yesterday.

On a nightcrawler dangled below a bobber of all things.

Was about 23" inches long or so and according to a cheap scale 8.5lbs.

He bit on my buddy's rod but he wasn't paying attention and had another rod in his hands fishing a roboworm. I saw his bobber go down so I grabbed his rod and set the hook. Knew immediately it was something big. It was pulling our 12foot aluminum boat had to kick the trolling motor on to pull it to open water so it wouldn't go between the poles holding the dock up and tangle the line. After he put the other rod away I let him reel it in the rest of the way since it was his rod then I grabbed it and pulled it into the boat. Biggest bass we've caught so far.

Thanks. Besides those two we had one more that was about 2 inches bigger than the one in the last pic, one a little smaller, one 14 incher and two or three dinks under a foot.

Went back today and only caught 2 bass one the size I just posted one a little smaller and a catfish.

Hooked a pretty big one saw the size of its head I think it would have been at least 20 inches but it wrapped around the stringer and then my line snapped after we got it untangled.

I've never had much luck at Folsom lake. Only been there two or three times this year and didn't catch anything. But then again we never took our boat out so maybe if we did that we'd be able to hit some more productive spots.
