Super User Bankbeater Posted August 9, 2009 Super User Posted August 9, 2009 Went out yesterday with my partner before the sun got up too high and the heat set in. I was working a Jitterbug between matted up weeds on the surface. I tossed the bait about a foot from the bank over a road bed, and when I started to move it this 6-02 came up and took it. I caught one more dink, and my partner caught four around a pound each before they shut off and we went left for the day. Quote

Steven Ladner Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Awesome fish BB, those jitterbugs don't seem to get many strikes. But when they do, it's usually a quality fish. Quote

BassDeaton01 Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Awesome fish! Congrats on the new PB. I'm a catch and release guy but that would sure be hard not to hang that one on my wall!!! Quote
skeetermike Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Good fish anywhere, but the ponds do seem to offer bigger ones. Lake fishing can be tougher, but hey I wouldn't give up a chance to lip a 6.2 lb fish where ever it was caught. As for the jitterbug, not used these days very much, but an awsome bait. Mine is black and I don't use it enough given my past history with it. They work, I usually throw the chug-bug or the spook instead. Quote
