Dear readers,

Well the morning started out inocent enough, dark, foggy but we were the only ones at the ramp at 3:30am. First was the fog and the fact the Mrs. talked me into going to a different than usual ramp, it is about 3 miles upstream in the lake, but no problem. Well started out and then without moonlight it was more than difficult to navigate out to the place I wanted to fish ( this is a place I discovered last weekend about the same time table). Well without being able to see it was a debate about where the land ends and lake begins(anyone who has been on this lake knows that it is longer than wide). We finally, after about 2 miles of slow going, I turn my foot and realize that my foot is wet and there is water on the floor. Well panic sets in and full throttle for land. Bilge running for all its worth and I start thinking...Did I hit something sometime???? Quick hit with a maglite shows the malfunction...live will fill pump is on and filling the boat. Side bar: Illuminated switches will be put in place. 30min later bilge empty and started to fish, NOTHING.

Daylight starting to show but no sun just lots and lots of fog. Re-fished area from before and caught 5 (4 lg and one smallie) nothing huge but respectable for the lake I think around 1.5-2lb. Ended up to be a decent day fishing with a 7.5 month pregnant wife that is hungry or has to pee continuously.

PS wife finally caught first bass and on a 1/8oz buzz bait.
