So the fun continued into the weekend. Sat I caught a lot of fish, but they were all under 2lbs. I stopped counting at ~60, but probably caught around 100-120. There were lots of schoolers, but quality fish were hard to find. These cool temps we've had recently have the water temps below normal and the fish seemed confused. Combine that with the grass being behind schedule and the fish aren't quite where they are supposed to be.

I started sunday off doing what I'm supposed to do this time of year, fish grass in the main channel. But after a slow start, I decided to try back in some pockets where I would've expected fish to be a couple months ago. I didn't know how this would work, but playing around with little schooling fish gets old and I figured since the water temps were down I'd give it a try. Turned out to be a pretty good idea. Found some bigger fish hanging out back in the coves and pockets. Nothing really huge, but a solid day with around 30-40 2-4 lbers.
