Krzkev Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Went out to my series of lunker lakes, on the golf course that I am lucky enough to fish on a regular basis. Needless to say it was hot, No!! VERY HOT. And the fishing was fairly hot too. I got 2 nice fish and allot of 2-3 lbers. The big fish went 5-5 and 5-15. Well good luck to everyone out there. By the way have the peacocks been slow this year, to all you S Florida guys? I have been having a hard time getting them to bite. Whats the deal? Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 23, 2009 Super User Posted July 23, 2009 Peacocks are hot in some areas, be happy to turn you on, I have knowledge on where to go. Out of curiosity what golf course are you fishing, it's probably private so I couldn't fish it anyway? Quote
BassDeaton01 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Holy crap!! If I go golfing again I'm taking my rods out and doing some fishing!! Nice fish man! Quote
LCpointerKILLA Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Omg, you laid a fish on the ground! Let the witch trial begin. : Anyways, way to go dude. Those are nice looking specimens. If it's nice green well kept grass I will lay them down.... its fine. If its some dead crabgrass with sand twigs and stuff all over, then it can hurt the slimy coating. Quote
skeetermike Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Wonder if the ol golf cart would pull a 12 to 14' jon boat with trolling motor N battery?? Course, you may want to wear a helmet and dawn all other PPE you can think of. Those golf course ponds do seem to be the ticket if ur privaliged enough to get to fish them. Great fish dude! Quote
Koop Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Man... I never really imagined there would be any bass of decent size in golf ponds... make me really wonder about some of these ponds around town that I never see people fishing but look like they have potential. Quote
skillet Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Koopa, I don't have any access to any golf course ponds. I ain't proud though. You wouldn't believe some of the damp places I've given it a try . You never know till you try ... skillet Quote
