Went out Saturday for about 7 hours to a small lake that gets fished a lot. Dad boated 9, and I boated 8, with the largest being about 1-1/2 pounds. The bummer of the day came when I cast a 1/8 ounce jig up on a gravel covered hump with grass growing all around it. One hit the jig and headed off the hump back into the deep water. I turned him, got him to the boat and went to get him out of the water when he shook his head and got off. Dad said that it was at least 4 or 4.5 pounds. We still had a good time and I know where I'm going this Saturday.
