Perfect Hook Set Posted July 10, 2009 Author Posted July 10, 2009 I had no scale 8( I ate it and loved every second of it.. : Jk I rarely EVER keep any fish. How does one get this big post spawn I believe its the weather. The water has yet to "boil" and I believe the bigger fish are still very active. Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 12, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 12, 2009 Looks like it just ate a baby duck or baby goose. Seriously! Quote
aarogb Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Looks like it just ate a baby duck or baby goose. Seriously! I'm with Glenn. That fish must have just ate something HUGE before you caught it. Quote
Perfect Hook Set Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 If fish thought like humans I am sure it would have regretted dragging that big belly around just to get a hook in its face... It may have not been a record bass but, heck I can't complain one bit. I have only seen a few bass that had a giant gut but, again this is the 1st I ever caught or seen in person. Thanks guys Quote

Mattlures Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 That fish is egg laden. It is a condition where the fish was unable to drop its eggs. It could be fatal, Here is a picture of another bass that has the same condition and looks to be about the same size http://calfishing.com/gallery/v/members/rob_belloni/bass/6_95.jpg.html Quote
