NEKvt Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Planning on setting one of these up with some friends. No chance of bringing fish in. How to keep a score? I was thinking one fish per angler (2 anglers per team) measured on the honor system. No money involved, just some silly trophy and maybe a 12er. Anyone done anything like this? How did you decide who won? What were some rules that worked? Thanks Quote
Walz Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Never did it from a kayak but have done some informal tournaments with friends and family using the honor system when some people don't have livewells. What we did was weigh (check beforehand to see if everyone's scales are close) and take a picture of each fish. If you wanted to make it easier you could skip the weights and just go by totoal number of keepers. Really with something like this you can make the rules whatever you want. If you are worried about some people not following the honor system you could make 2 man teams and have everyone fish in pairs with someone from another team. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 8, 2009 Super User Posted July 8, 2009 PM me, and I can get an email from a friend that organizes these types of tournaments. Quote
NEKvt Posted July 8, 2009 Author Posted July 8, 2009 PM me, and I can get an email from a friend that organizes these types of tournaments. PM on the way. And thanks Walz. I hadn't thought of the keeper thing, kind of like that. I am in no way worried about people trying to cheat. There won't be anything worth winning. I just want a fair way to designate a winner. That way we can all rib him all year long for cheating. Quote
