Just got back from a trip to a local pond. My goal today was to catch some fish on a Senko, as I have been too busy with other lures to try one. Wow. I also used a Wave Worm Tiki Stick, but just because I ran out of Senkos!!! These little buggers are really amazing. Usually when I go to this pond I catch probably an average of five fish. Today? 18. The biggest was exactly four pounds, but was around 5 pre-spawn. Once again, great bait. Definitely will be buying more.

I've stuck with senkos, but a buddy of mine swears by Tiki Sticks. I'll have to give them a try I guess

I was using 5" Green Pumpkin/Black Flake, and I also found that Tiki Stiks are pretty much just as good. I know they don't have as much salt, but I caught just as many.

They might not have as much salt but they have MOLOPO, which means MOtion LOtion POtion.  How can you go wrong? It smells like anise oil.

Anyone that would "take a pass" on 7 & 8lb bass has no business

fishing a Senko. The only soft plastic that might be interesting for

you, Fish Chris, is the Rage Tail 10" Anaconda.

8-)

Outside of the spawn, senkos are a follow up bait in tx.  I've fished with a few tx. partners that throw nothing but, and it just makes me crazy!  Who can sit and wait for a senko to sink to 15+ FOW when time = money?

Now, if your fishing a small pond, and the weed pockets are just right, you may very well catch many of the bass there.  Just don't forget to go back through those same pockets with a grass jig or texas rig worm, fish slowly on the bottom.  You'll pick up a few more, and probably bigger fish.
