water temp = 69.4-70.4

cloudy skies

wind = unbearable

went fishing yesterday with my buddy mike.mike and i used to work together at central ave. chrysler until he became a nyc firefighter.mike is really starting to get into bass fishing now and finally caught a few on titicus with me.previous attempts were all skunkings but he has improved a lot.

we boated 13 largmouths and 5 perch and a sunfish.the best largie weighed 4-14 and was caught a a cotton candy yum zellamander.all fish were caught in 5 feet of water or less.most fish were caught on soft plastics dragged on the bottom.the wind was unbearable at times.i tried to get back to the back half of the lake but the wind was blowing so hard we could not row back there.we took shelter in the coves when we could and behind the sections of shore that offerd wind breaks.there were white caps out there yesterday.

the bass spawn looks almost finished as sunnies are on the beds at this time.there are a few bass on beds shallow but not many.the lake is almost completely weed free which puzzles me being as this is almost june and by now the weeds are always coming up.
