Quick Drying Fishing Glue

First off I wasn't 100% sure where this topic would fit, so forgive me if its posted in the wrong area. Now then, I am looking for a fast drying glue that I can use primarily in saltwater. This is what I plan to do. When I fluke fish I like to use gulp swimming mullet, rigged on jigheads. Only problem is they tend to get expensive, and a common problem you have, is after a few fish, and a few good hooksets the bait starts to slide off the jighead "holder" when you cast. Making that cast, pretty much useless. So I want a glue I can use, to glue the gulp to the holder of the jighead.

I also have one more question for you. After I glue the bait on, and lets say the bait gets torn in half. Can I manage to rip the bait off the jighead, along with the glue remains, so the jighead is still good to use? Thanks for any help/recommendations.

Try plain old superglue.  I super glue my spider grubs on a jig head and it works great.  Never have a problem reusing the jig head either.  I dont know how well glue will work with gulp though.  Give it a try and let us know.

I've used Pros Softbait glue without any problems, but some guys hate the stuff.

I use regular superglue on regular plastics,holds great and you can tear off and reglue another bait . Don't know about gulp though...

Sure. But you might want to take a small knife and scrape off any gobs of dried glue that remain on the jighead collar.

You can buy glue that is labeled just for fishing but it is the same stuff with less viscosity. Super glue by loctite or devcom comes in many thicknesses from watery to gel. I get mine from Industrial stores like J&L, Grainger, McMaster Carr etc. 1/2 the price.

Another vote for super glue - I like the kind with the little brush.  Not as conventient to carry as the tube with the pen applicator, but, the brush can get more precise IMHO.
