I am currently living at Penn State, and I went home for Easter weekend. Well it was worth it! My dad and I went out on Friday. It was cold, windy, and the water temp was 45 degrees. My dad caught one fish which weighed 5lb on the nose. The boat was sitting in about 30-35 ft of water we were casting into 10. The bass was in about 12 foot of water, and hit a Berkley Beast.

After seeing the 5lb bass I was inspired to get out there again. Today was windy again about 25mph constant and 30mph gusts. It was a tough controlling my boat. We were out for 2 hours, and I managed to pull in one fish on a jig. The jig was a Hunters Creek Cheeseburger jig with a netbait paca craw trailer. The bass was on the same stretch of water as the 5lb bass previously caught. It was on a steep shoreline and hooked in about 15 foot of water. The bass went 6 lb 8 oz. This was also my first fish on my new setup. A shimano chronarch 51mg and a shimano cumara. The tip on the cumara broke some how in the craziness.

The fish was caught in Beltzville Lake.
