Took the Jon boat out to Lake Okeeheelee Today with a freind. We caught a bunch of fish. We primarily fished T- rigged worms, and Banjo Minnows. Most of the Big Girls came on the Banjo Minnow. We Caught 6 Fish, weighing close to 26 pounds. Biggest of the day went 7lbs.

Wow. Nice toads.

Which color minnow were you using?

Whats with the swirls on the pictures?

Posted

VR green shiner. The swirls are to cover up some of the hot spots we found.

LIke no ever fished there before...............haha, I know that palm tree.

Guess I'll have to keep my secret snook spots to myself to keep in step with others.

Man, those are some nice fish. I would kill to have an outing like that. Nice!

Thanks,  that's the main reason I blurred out the backgrounds.

Bro, I just don't get it. It's not that I want to go to that lake and fish it ... but when you show pics of fish and the backround blurred out it comes off like bragging. Sorry, but this forum is not for bragging ... it's for sharing.

Agreed.

The majority of us members don't live anywhere near that lake for you to be worried about us steeling your precious spots. Nor would i want to go there when i live so close to Lake Fork. JK. I would love to go fishing there some time.

Now as far as you day went, awesome job. Those are some beautiful fish.

He Shots He Scores. HAHA

The real question is if a member was having a really hard time catching fish on that lake, would you help him out by sharing a hot spot with him. :)

Definitely, I would go one step further and offer to take him out and show him first hand.

Super outing and nice stringer.  I know your spot.  Not many places in Okeeheelee have houses in the background and green St. Augustine grass on the bank.  Don't worry, I won't spill the beans.

HAHA.......WTG bassn

I gotta say.......I'm a member of another board as well, all Florida people and most do saltwater and bass and peaccocks in the off months.  About 90% of them share,  then post maps pinpointing the blade of grass they are standing on.  I had a fellow Pm me and ask me to join him at his "honey hole " yesterday afternoon.

If I'm not there, why would I care if someone else is fishing "my spot"

Dude, born and raised in West Palm Beach. Fished Okeeheelee Park and I can tell you the water in the lake is not the color of one of you pictures, it is crystal clear or chalky in consistency. So it looks to me HAWK that it is drum roll please Lake XXXXXXXXXX :P.

Also, Lake Okeeheelee is a CATCH AND RELEASE lake only, so you can't keep bass. I would agree with you about posting and keeping your spot secret if it is on a local heavily pressured lake with meat catchers though, kind of like Lake XXXXXXXXXX! Congrats man, I've been slaying them in that area my whole life. I've got some a few honey holes there myself ;D
