Avalonjohn44 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 I'm stumped. I'm searching google and ebay, and finding nothing. Quote
dumb_dog11 Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 yeah, i looked at every brand on ichiban tackle too and ...... nothing Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 I just finished going thru almost every lure manufacturer on ***, and still haven't figured it out. I give up on this one. Quote
MaxDal Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 I reckon this lure is quite a gimmick, and I'm going to use it. But I thought it was a good way to try and have T-rig back in business with japanese stuff.... well maybe, he hasn't seen the post ! Anyway, here's a hint ! The name of the bait (brand+model) contains the words : - Rolling - Tackle ...and it is available in two different sizes : 77 - 88 Ok I pretty much gave it away Dumbdog.. looking for it on ichibantackle was pretty clever ! Infortunately you won't find it there. I'll just say that nowadays the most comprehensive lure source has to be EBAY ! Quote
Super User grimlin Posted March 28, 2008 Super User Posted March 28, 2008 TACKLE HOUSE ROLLING BAIT.You gave it away... ;D Quote
dumb_dog11 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 TACKLE HOUSE ROLLING BAIT.You gave it away... ;D i might have to get one of those Quote
MaxDal Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 There you go Grimlin ! Now you guys know Tackle House ... they do have a couple of weird-looking lures !! Lots of upside down designs by them. You're next grimlin. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 That was a rough one. What is the action on that bait, Maxdal? Quote
MaxDal Posted March 28, 2008 Author Posted March 28, 2008 Well, that's a weird lure, John ! I don't have one, but a friend of mine uses it for seabass, so I got the chance to try it a little. I wasn't very impressed by it. I would say that the best point of this lure is that it's freaking heavy for its size..... Pretty good castability and a good weight to fish it vertically. Kinda like a vertical jerkbait, pretty weird ! Naturally, it has a strong rolling and you mainly fish vertical. I wasn't very impressed by the action on a steady retrieve. They also use it for light trolling sometimes. So, Grimlin, let's see the next lure. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted March 29, 2008 Super User Posted March 29, 2008 this one shouldn't be too hard...but it's a wierd one for me. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I know the tail is the give away, but I can't remember. I think I may have Alzheimer's... Quote
rwf56 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I think I have one that is white . Is it a Manns Rat ? Ithink mine came from Wal-Mart . RWF56 Quote
Super User grimlin Posted April 1, 2008 Super User Posted April 1, 2008 Manns Phat Rat RWF56 yup..your turn for a new lure. Quote
MaxDal Posted April 9, 2008 Author Posted April 9, 2008 It seems that RWF56 did not understand he was supposed to put the next mystery-lure after winning. And he is not answering my PM..... So I guess I'll just put a new one myself. The game must go on ! Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted April 10, 2008 Super User Posted April 10, 2008 Lucky Craft Virtual Baits Kingyo, Nishuki color maybe? Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted April 10, 2008 Super User Posted April 10, 2008 How about River2Sea Gold N' Crank, the Lucky Craft wanna-be? Quote
Super User T-rig Posted April 10, 2008 Super User Posted April 10, 2008 How about River2Sea Gold N' Crank, the Lucky Craft wanna-be? I agree, looks like the River2Sea Golden Crank 40. Quote
MaxDal Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Good on the Norman Bass XL. I see you already knew you had it right. By the way, here's a little reminder : Here are the rules. 1- Respect all the rules of BR 2- Post a lure that people can find (no home-made unknown, unnamed lure) (Don't post low-quality picture) 3- The one who finds the lure, posts the next picture 4- People have to give both the brand and the name of the lure to win 5- If the lure displayed is a sure knock-off of another popular lure, the name and brand of the original lure are the infos that one must give. (for instance all the brush hog knock-offs, the one who says "ZOOM Brush Hog" wins) That, is of course if you guys think the rules are fair. We can sure amend the Lure Quizz Constitution at any time. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all lures are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Lifelikeness, Liberty to stay at the bottom of the lake, and the Pursuit of Bass." Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted April 11, 2008 Super User Posted April 11, 2008 Well I guess I will go ahead and post a lure since I'm sure it's a River2Sea Gold N' Crank. Back to the land of the rising sun for this one. You Japanese lure fanatics will surely jump right on this. Quote
