BattleBornBassMann Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Me and my buddy are partners for our school, and were looking to join team tournamnets in Norcal/cen. Cal. How do we go about this without a boat? I was looking at U.S. Anglers choice, but i think everyone needs there own boat. Am i right about this? Quote
Triton21 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Not familiar with that Trail but most Trails have boaters and non boaters. Non boaters are paired up with boaters unless it is a pardner Trail. I have fished both type tournaments and prefer the pardner type. If you get paired up with a butt-hole you won't catch many because of his boat positioning. Kelley Quote
BattleBornBassMann Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 Thanks...so there is really no way for us to fish together unless one of us gets a boat, huh., Quote
Triton21 Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Thanks...so there is really no way for us to fish together unless one of us gets a boat, huh., That is correct. Get out and go to some of the boat places and talk them into sponsering you two with a boat. Kelley Quote
BattleBornBassMann Posted April 2, 2009 Author Posted April 2, 2009 How do you think is the best way to go about this? You think a boat company will sponsor us with this economy? Thanks. Really good idea, never thought about it. Quote
Triton21 Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Go to the fishing resume board and do a lot of reading. Format a plan and follow through. You might want to PM Senko77. He is fishing the BFL. Might be able to give you some tips. Kelley Quote
c17Lat Posted April 3, 2009 Posted April 3, 2009 Assuming that you guys are in college, you should check out the flw college series. these are the only tournaments that i know of where boats are provided Quote
