so my birthday is on monday.  every year i e-mail my wife a bunch of links to tackle warehouse, basspro etc etc for things i would like.  i send her stuff from just a couple bucks up to maybe $100 item, like a reel.  then she picks and chooses what to get for me.  so this year she got me a MS slammer 7" in dark rainbow, a BBZ-1 in sexy lavender shad, and some spot removers.  my question is mainly about the slammer.  the slammer is a MUCH bigger bait than anything i have used.  can anyone give me a quick who what where and how on this bait?  i have never used one or read or seen one used. so any info would be great!!

thanks!

first of all you will need a heavier rod at least a 3oz rating to chuck the bait.  I would throw that bait any time you would throw a topwater.  Big fish bait all the way and also gets the numbers.  Put time in and you will figure out what works best for you.

Another one over to the darkside...

hey TD don't you mean another one sees the light? ;D

My 5 jig fish against your 5 slammer fish. O wait, you guys fish all day for 1, 6 pound (if you're LUCKY) bite. And that is exactly what it boils down to, luck around here, hell if I throw a jitterbug on a sunny 55* day, eventually something will hit it too. ::)

Good thing I like Jigs too then  ;D  I'm looking for big fish regardless, I'm just trying to decrease the chances of catching shorts all day.  Swimbaits do that for me, and they are fun to fish.  But you also can't beat a day with the jig unless you catch a pig on a big bait  8-)
