I live in the midwest and water temps have made there way up to 48 in the cold spots and 53 in the hot parts. The fishing has been off the hook my last two trips with over 25 fish caught on my last trip. It was at the point you can't even count the fish any more. I had a chance to talk to other guys who fished that day and if you weren't fishing with a hard jerkbait you weren't catching many fish. It doesn't matter if it's a rouge, strike king, or a lucky craft jerkbait just tie one on. Find the warmest water and some shad if you can, because it's time for some JERKING!! ;D

nice! how did you figure that is what was needed?

This time of year the jerbait is a good bet. One of my partners had one tied on during the first trip out while I was throwing a jig. The jerkbait clearly out caight the jig. The next trip out the fish had moved out to the points but were still keying on the shad and they went nuts for the jerkbaits.
