Well I spent from 1:00-6:00pm on Lake Conroe yesterday. I fished hard. Boat docks, beds, brushpiles in 10-15', points, and the shallow river ledges. NOT ONE BITE. The weather was perfect, and the water was in great shape. Saw several large fish on beds but they were very spooky, not one would stay around whenever you pitched a tube or lizard in on them.

I pride myself on being able to put a pattern together when I'm on the water, but this was ridiculous. Can't do it without making some contact with something. Never saw another boat hookup either.

I fished tubes, lizards, baby brushhogs, lake fork worms, small crank-baits, buzz-baits, traps, and even some dt-16s, but nothing. They owe me, I'll be back at them midweek so we will see what happens.

hope everyone else did a little better.

Good luck to all.

yes, those days are very, very frustrating. IMHO, very few things are worse (fishing related) than seeing the fish and can't get it to bite.  Just want to reach out there and choke the you-know-what out of it.

Hopefully the next outing will be better.

The only thing worse than getting skunked is when you see that others are catching.  So at least that wasn't the case.  Misery loves company.  Well, everyone has one of those days now and again.  It just wets your appetite for the next outing!  Good luck and keep pressing forward.
