Super User Bassn Blvd Posted March 10, 2009 Super User Posted March 10, 2009 I took my 16 yr old out on the jon boat and fished our neighborhood lake. We were trolling (cheating) with crankbaits and caught between 14-17 bass. Nothing spectacular but I enjoyed the time we spent together, even though he only went with me because his friends weren't home > You can notice in the background how low the water is. It must be down 4 or 5 feet. 1st one of the day. My son. Lat one of the day. Quote

He has a friend his age down the street and they just started taking his 21 center console out in the ocean. I walk on pins and needles until they return, worrying about'em out in the ocean. Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Very nice post. We all love to take the little ones fishing, but the big kids still need that quality time with Dad as well! Nicely done. Quote
Big-O Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 YOU ARE....THE MAN and all kids should be so lucky to have a Real Dad like you who is caring enough to share his time with them....Congratulations to both of you and thanks for being an example for others to follow. Big O www.ragetail.com Quote

christopherjake Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Trolling = cheating? I say catch them any way you can. Maybe I'll change my tune once I caught some fish, but for the past 5-6 months I've been catching zip fishing from the front of my computer. Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Awesome fish and Congrats on the father son outing too. ;D Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 10, 2009 Super User Posted March 10, 2009 I'm glad you were able to fish with your son. Mine is away in Med School and I miss him every day. 8-) Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted March 10, 2009 Super User Posted March 10, 2009 I spent alot of time fishing with dad. As I get older I wished I would have spent more. I'm glad you got out with your son, looking at the pics, he doesn't seem to upset that he had to go fishing with dad. Nice fish Quote
