Just fishing a pond today.  Fishing a 4.5 black and blue coffee tube from strike king on a red weighted hook. First cast it gets nailed as soon as it hits the water.  As the fish is getting closer to the boat, noticed I had two bass hooked at one time.  One was 3 to 4 lbs and the other one was 2 lbs.   Was the craziest thing. Buddy got them both in the net.

I know most of you wont believe this story but it actually happened to me this afternoon.  Has anyone else every caught two bass at once?

It's like a Hole in One in golf!! Congrats!!!!

Never heard of a double on a single hook...that's even harder. Timmy Horton seems to do it a couple of times a year on a crankbait!!! You got one up on him!!!

I did that several times in one day but I was using a Double Fluke Rig. It's supposed to do that.

How did you catch two fish on one hook? :-?

Just one of those crazy deals I guess.  The big fish was hooked good and the tip of the hook was barely in the small one. They where side by side coming to the boat.  It was a good day.

That happens down here, not only runners but jacks as well.  Any time you have schooling fish it can happen.  I have had it happen with peacocks as well.

Wow!

Never on a single hook. That's amazing and I'm surprised

that several other guys have had the same experience.

Thats pretty slick. I've done it with a crankbait, and mine were 12 inchers. To have one in the 3-4 range, and the other 2lbs. on one hook----AWESOME. Congratulations

I'm trying to not be a jerk here, but I haven't seen anyone else say that they caught two fish on one hook.

The only time anything remotely close to this ever happening to me was when a Northern ate (or tried to, anyway).  The Northern got hooked on the same worm hook, though broke off near the boat.

I have seen several smallmouth get into "frenzy" mode once one is hooked.  They seem to be attacking the bait, not the hooked fish.  I suppose its possible.  I'll take the original report at face value, must have been something to realize what you had  :D

Happen to me years ago on Rayburn. fishing a rogue. Had a two lb. hooked on the rear. As I got it to the boat a 4lb tried to take it away and I caught them both. Several times over the years I have caught two dinks on the same lure while fishing schoolies.

I've seen it on multiple hook lures, but wouldn't of thought it to be possible on a single hook.  Especially fish of that size.  I don't doubt your story though.

When i was younger living in the South, We would catch 2 white bass at the same time, quite a bit when the feeding frenzy was on.  It was on baits with 2 trebles though.

Never on a single hook, but I did on jerkbaits.

What a great fishery you have. By the way T-rig, when can I expect to see the swiss bass thread back with some new pictures?
