Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 31, 2008 Super User Posted December 31, 2008 I headed out to Okeeheelee park this evening and caught a couple. Biggest was about 4 but the picture doesn't do it justice. The small one was about 1.25. I was fishing in the water ski lake. The skiers stir the bottom up which makes for a pretty good bite. Part of the lake I was fishing. Quote

jeremyt Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Awesome , I havent been out since the Sunday before Xmas, we fished the neuse river here in NC. The smallest went about .5 pound and the largest somewhere between 3.5 and 4. Funny thing was that we fished from about 8 to 10 with no bites and it was like someone threw a switch. About 1030 to 1100 it was cast after cast 2.5 to 3 pd fish. All of these fish were fat like they just finished feeding. Just as quick as it turned on it started raining and the wind switched. After that we caught 3 more fish all under 1.5. Total we caught about 12 fish for a wonderful day. Here was the 2nd largest of the day, that my buddy Brian caught and a smaller one I hooked, forgive the beanie it was getting warm. Sorry for the quality of the pics, they were taken with my cell. I really enjoy your posts, it reminds me why I do fish. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted January 1, 2009 Author Super User Posted January 1, 2009 Thanks Paul. I owe these fish to you. I'll PM ya and tell you why. Nice fish Jeremy. Isn't it weird how fish sometimes automatically turn on and off. Nice scenery too. Quote

No push button or soinning reels. BUT, the reel in my picture is NOT an ABU. It is a Calcutta TE100DC.. Quote
