mase088 Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I haven't been able to get a top water hit at all this winter, thats impressive. I haven't fished the Alabama river yet but from what I hear it really holds some toads. Quote
M_Fields. Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Nice spot, the winter feed bag looks full on. M_Fields Quote

Super User fishinfiend Posted January 18, 2009 Author Super User Posted January 18, 2009 Jimmie-O--We fish between Pratville and Wetumpka. There are a lot of good spots in this stretch. However, they can be very hard to track down some days. Those guys sure do fight. Quote
jimmieO Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Good deal. I use to live in Millbrook and put in at Cooter's pond. There are definitely some good fish in the river there. I never ran toward wetumpka farther than that first bridge in Montgomery though....I was wondering where everybody was when I'd show up to a full parking lot, but only actually see a couple folks. Thanks for the reponse-can't wait to get back over there soon. Its only about an hour from where we are now. Quote
Tojo Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Very Nice Fish!!! Congrats To Your Uncle!!! Quote
JigNBig Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Coosa and Alabama Rivers hold some nice spots and you can catch them year-round. Best fish that you could ever fish for! beats the heck out of largemouth. Quote
