Keep trying, Troy is a busy man. I asked him to give us a couple

of days before booking anyone else the week of the 23rd. As of

Monday, he is available 3/26, 3/27 & 3/28.

BTW,

As an additional reference, Troy was recommended to me by

George Welcome.

Ronnie, I think our countdown clock broke on the G'ville web page.  I keep waiting for it to move but I think it died.

First off, my vacancy (cabin) is filled.

Second:

I bought a 1 lb spool of original Yo-Zuri Hybrid #15 which I will bring to Guntersville. If anyone wants to spool up a baitcaster and give this line a try, leave one reel unspooled for the trip and I will fix you up!

Third:

I am a non-boater and rather than hustling around for a seat, I am planning to fish a couple of days with someone randomly drawn. I think this will be fun and hope we all (non-boaters) will have an opportunity to fish with some guys we might not otherwise know. If you're in this same "boat" (pun intended), relax! As Glenn has already stated, NO ONE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND.

My cabin is not filled. We'll be there Sunday, leaving Thursday morning, so I have a spare bed for four nights.

Free to whomever asks. Senko77 will be in one bed for two nights. The other bed is there for the taking.

First come, first served.

Cheers,

GK

Thanks for the offer LM, but we've already got a rental car lined up.  Besides, I don't have any hats left.

VIVA LA GUNTERSVILLE!

the worst part of it is that i've got hundreds of dollars of new gear sitting in my room that i probably won't even be able to use until the trip. i organize and re-organize all my lures and terminal tackle at least twice a week. i oiled, greased and cleaned my reels the other day, consolidated all my plastics into bigger bags by brand, size and color, put all my reels on my rods just to see how they feel... i'm seriously going crazy up here!

two weeks ago when it was warmer out and all the snow was gone i was out in the driveway every day after work practicing casting with my baitcast setups, but now it's been raining/sleeting/snowing/freezing rain/etc. for the last 10 days or so and i can't even do that. at least i've got the last few issues of BASS magazine that i've already re-read ten times to hold me over.  :-/

Deadline for making reservations is 2/23.  You'd better get to gettin' if you're going to come!

So far we have a 100% increase of people coming this year over last.  No doubt this event will continue to explode in popularity.  This is your chance to be there from the beginning!

I also have a few nice suprises for those attending.  I'm not saying anything further on that.  You'll just have to be there to find out!

Looking forward to Guntersville!

My new Bassmaster magazine came today. the Astro / lunar table shows Full moon, Friday the 21st.

Watch the Gutersville water temps (you can usually see them on the guides' reports on Bass Fishing Home Page). If the surface temps get into the low to mid 60's by that week, we should have a big wave of fish up shallow and bedding. If the temps stay in the 50's, we'll have some up scouting, but the vast majority of the fish should still be pre-spawn or at least not locked on yet.

Either way, I think most of the fish are going to be pre-spawn, which sets up for a good "hardbait" bite in 3-8 ft on the flats, points, and outside grass edges.
