and now fluke offering to go out of his way to pick my skinny @ss up at the airport.

First of all it's not realy out of my way. I could drive through Atlanta traffic and not pick you up. Or I could drive around Atlanta traffic and swing into the airport and pick you up. I don't see how that's out of my way.

Second of all. You offered to help with gas.  8-)

Keri and I arrive in Birmingham airport @ 4:00pm Sunday.  So we'll be there sometime Sunday evening.  Leaving Birmingham at 11:30am on Friday.

We would have flown to Atlanta, but it was a longer flight and $400 more expensive.

We will be with a guide on Monday, and I believe we're going out with RW on Tuesday.  And Gene is being very generous and is loaning his boat to us for the rest of the week. :)

It always amazes me the generousity of our members. You'd think I'd get used to it by now, but I'm not.  You guys are incredible!!

Ok guys, I'm going to modify my offer.

Fluke sent me a PM saying Senko77 needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. I PM'ed him, and he will be occupying one of the spare beds for two nights; Monday and Tuesday.

There's another bed available for Sunday through Wednesday night. We'll be leaving Thursday morning.

I'm not charging Senko77 for the room. I'm won't charge anybody else for the other bed either.

Need a place to stay for four nights, or less? It's yours, if you don't mind sharing a room and bath with Senko77.

Again, the only thing I insist on is no smoking in the room.

Send me a PM if you want it. First come, first served.

Cheers,

GK

Glenn, I'm driving from Tulsa.  I'll be hitting Birmingham about the time you get there.  I'll be more than happy to pick you and Keri up.  Also, your departure date and time fit neatly within my time frame, so I'll be happy to drop you off at the airport on the way out.  But ... it's gonna cost you.  To be precise, one (1) BassResource.com T-Shirt, size XL and one (1) BassResource.com cap.

LOOKING FOR TWO ROOMATES

Unfortunately, Jessica Simpson and Gisele Bundchens have cancelled out on me. So, I have a cabin at Guntersville reserved Sunday through Thursday night (arrive 3/23, depart 3/28). Five nights split three ways = $235 each, which includes tax!

I won't smoke in the house, but I do smoke, drink, fart and snore. I like to go to bed early and don't care what you do.

Send me a PM if you want to share lodging, but at this point I'm really interested in "For Sure" not "Maybe". We will not necessarily be fishing together. I am not bringing a boat and with the exception of part of one day, I have made no arrangements. I plan to fish with guys based on the draw.

-Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior

UPDATE

Well, another Patriots fan is taking Gisele's place, so I have one (1) opening left.

Monday 2/04/08

Still have room for one guy. Send a PM is you are interested.

I wanted to stop in and say hello...! Looks like I'll be fishing with a few of you during your visit to Guntersville. I know you will all love being here, it's a great lake to fish with a lot to see and do. I've guided full time here for 13 years. Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions and I'll be glad to help.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in March!

Troy:

Thanks for dropping in. I fished Big G with you about 5 years ago, and I learned a valuable lesson about topwater and blue bird skies. You landed a 5+ lbr on a Spittin Image in S Sauty on a nasty North wind, blue bird, post front day.

Hope all is well with you. The fish in my pic came from down there last year. Guntersville is an amazing fishery for sure!

Guys: Troy is a really nice person, and one heck of a guide. Even if it's tough day, you'll enjoy being on the water with him.

I've been out with several guides down there, and IMHO, he and Tim Chandler are the real deal as far as knowing the lake and being professional guides. :)

Welcome Troy!

For those of us that are not going, who do you call for biggest fish?  I got SPEEDBEAD or Alpster  ;)  Don't let me down boys!!!

(PS- Guided catches don't count)

I hate to jinx it, but I'm thinking Shadcranker for big fish. Only reason I'm saying this is because I've paid my dues there, and if the fishing gods have any sense of justice, I'm due an 8+ lbr.

I've got 10+ years of $$, licenses, guides, gas to and from Nashville, and I'm hoping that with four full days down there, I can snag ole Eunice.

I've caught one just shy of eight and bunches of 5's and 6's there, but I've never been during "prime time" for more than one day.

All that said, the real pressure is going to be guiding Riskkid for the week. He made up this crazy story that I guaranteed multiple 5+lb fish per day. Hog-wash!

The potential is there for someone to catch a double digit fish. I saw a 31 lb, 5 fish bag there in a tourney last January anchored by a 10 and 11 lbr.

Well, we do have control of the meatballs until Monday night.....Ronnie, maybe the Guntersville bass will like a little "Italian Chum Bucket"

They will be calling their big sisters in from miles around... ;)
