BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted December 10, 2008 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted December 10, 2008 A couple of us went fishing today for my birthday. All we caught was about 80 spec, 15 bass, 2 brim, and a pickerel. Everything we back except the largest 70 spec. Not a bad birthday. That's 15" adjustable wrench in the pic for size reference. Quote
IDbasser Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Very nice. I would love some fresh crappie. I wish there was crappie closer to where I live. :-/ Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 Very nice. I would love some fresh crappie. I wish there was crappie closer to where I live. :-/ Hey ID, I've met and fished with Lee. He's a very generous guy. Give him your address. I'm sure he'd mail you a box full of fillets. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted December 11, 2008 Super User Posted December 11, 2008 NICE! what'd you catch that funny looking silver one on? Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 I bet that was a tasty meal The two times I've kept crappie, I went to fillet them 3 hours or more after I caught them and put them in the cooler, and they started flopping around, unbelievably. I almost soiled myself because I was sure they were totally dead. Is it just me or do those things stay alive forever? Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Crappie birthday to you! When's the fish fry and do you need me to bring anything? ;D Quote

Your just giving them a slower death by letting them suffocate Quote

I usually stab them in the head before I fillet them bc I kinda feel bad cutting them up still alive. :-/ Quote
