Infidel. Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Nice! Wish I had some water like that next campus when I was going to school... well maybe not, I had a hard enough time studying as it was. I would never graduated. Quote
Trick Worm Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 I'm actually lucky enough to have 2 ponds in my apartments, one of which holds decent sized bass. The biggest I have pulled out of that one was around 4 lbs. I am also on the Bass Fishing Team so I get to compete in tournaments all over and do that 1-2 times a month. Quote
Infidel. Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Wait what? Bass Fishing Team at your school? What kind of university are you going to? Quote

TrippyJai Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 .... omg school is so boring for me. i'm sick and tired of clubbing and drinking as replacement for fun. i'm like the only person in my group of friends that is in love with fishing. Quote
mase088 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Wait what? Bass Fishing Team at your school? What kind of university are you going to? Auburn Univeristy... WAR D*MN EAGLE Quote
Infidel. Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 All I have to saw is wow. I love bass fishing as much as anyone and spent a lot of time doing it instead of studying but come on. A school run bass club? Well I guess if my schools weren't given in state tuition prices to people that aren't even citizens of the US we would have money for that kind of stuff. Quote
Bassboy15 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Alot of schools do this now... http://www.collegebass.com/ Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted November 19, 2008 Super User Posted November 19, 2008 Sounds good. I need to spend some serious time mastering the spinnerbait. Quote
mase088 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 yea its not like we are the only school that has a club...just the best ;D Quote
Trick Worm Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Like Mase said we fish on the Auburn club team. I also caught this one on a spinnerbait at our Lake Eufala tournament and it ended being the Big Fish. Quote

Infidel. Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I know all about, seen it on TV a few times but what I was saying is come on people. Shouldn't school money be spent on education. I just have a different view on the purpose of a college instituition I guess. I know that sports like football, baseball, and basketball bring money into the school but I just really don't get the need for school run bass clubs. I just think that a school could do more productive things with their money, or if they have so much buring holes in their pockets they could cut tuition. I'm sure a lot, if not most, of you don't agree and please don't take this personally. I'm just spitting out my two cents. Quote
Infidel. Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Ok so I stand corrected, I see that the FLW winners get money for their school. Quote
mase088 Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 and we pay club dues, the school spends no money on us. Quote

Your lucky to get any money from club sports. Almost all the money for our University bass club comes from our own pockets. FLW is putting a great all expenses paid tournament on tho. Nice fish! Nothing like fishing right off campus. Quote
