EastTexasBassin Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 My buddy and I had a great morning yesterday. I caught one on a soft swimbait (bass magic) and the rest on t-rigged flappin hogs and jigs with flappin hog trailers. On the next cast after I caught this 6lber my friend caught a nice 4lber. My camera batteries died after he took two pictures of my fish. (Check it out Bobby, you can see my tube of Megastrike in the rod holder. ) Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 and the other pic... I'm having a hard time putting down the flappin hogs...d**n things catch too many nice fish. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 7, 2008 Super User Posted November 7, 2008 Nice bass! I like the Flappin' Hog, too. Like you, I fish it as a traditional trailer and naked on a 3/8 oz Evolution Shak-E2 jig. 8-) Quote
Captain Rhino Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Nice catches! I wish I had that kind of fortune right now. I use flappin hogs a lot too though. They are great little baits. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted November 7, 2008 Super User Posted November 7, 2008 That is a nice one. Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 Forgot to mention- that bass was caught on just a flappin hog t-rigged. (no jig) Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted November 7, 2008 Posted November 7, 2008 Nice fish I like the Flappin Hawg as occasional jig trailers (gives a large profile), and I've caught fish on them rigged on a 1/8 oz round jighead with weedguard. Oh, and plain t-rigged with a pegged weight & 2/0 hook, punching through the slop. Versatile little lure. Quote
Jake. Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 who makes flappin hogs? Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits. I really like the Flappin' Hog as well. It is great on an Eakins Jig or T-rigged by itself. Quote
DADto4 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Flappin hogs? well there's another one for my christmas list!!!!!! Nice fish Quote
