Happy Halloween everyone!

Been out to this nice little spot on my neighborhood lake the past two days just working plastics over the huge weeds. Topwater bite is on! Fishing has definitely picked back up after this little cold front we got down here... 11 LMB total in the past 2 days, mostly little guys, but two of 'em weighed a good 3 lbs each that I caught today. Total time was probably about 3 hours!

Today, a few of my friends were out in the john boat using live minnows. I decided to stay on the shore because I had other things to do later... They caught a few keepers, but guess who had the big fish of the day?? 8-)

This one probably went about 3.5 and was the only one I took pics of. He snatched my last white/chart super fluke. >:( ;D

Nice fish.  The temps have been absolutely great lately.  A bit windy, but tolerable.  Halloween ruined my evening bass trip to the local pond but it's good to see someone else catching them.

Man, it just doesn't stop! Same lake, same spot, same technique. Three days in a row.

I saw the wake from this guy following a Senko that I was using topwater again... ;D Catching five pounders on a light action setup with topwater lures is ULTIMATE!

Nice fish bro.  Looks like you and I were out at the same time today.

Are you at Forest Hill/Jog?  The houses look like the ones where my sister lives.

I don't know how long you have lived here but those lakes at Hypo/Jog (Lake Charelston) are more than 50 yrs old.  There used to be a cow pasture and woods where the development now sits.  I used to go target shooting there when I was a kid.Jog Rd was actually a dirt road and dead ended where Hypoluxo now intersects it.

Anyways, those lakes hold some BIG bass.  Or used to before it was developed.  I haven't fished those lakes in Lake Charelston since the houses were built.

That's pretty awesome Bassn! I've lived here since about 1990 I wanna say... It's been built up a lot more since I moved here though. There still were a few cow pastures and lots of dirt roads, but now it's all built up and we're actually getting a bridge for Hypoluxo going over the Turnpike soon!

There are definitely some big bass in there... I don't get to go out on a boat enough to get out there and fish deep, but I have managed to pull in a 6 pounder outta there from the shore... I've heard all kinds of stories from random people about 9-10 pounders in there, but have yet to catch one!

I might be moving outta here within the next year or so, so here's to hoping I can get a HAWG outta there before I leave! ;D
