yankthatsucker Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 so me and my buddy j went to a "secret" location on the g-08. we fished jumbo shiners on gamakatsu nautilus circle hooks. heres a few we pulled out: ME MY BUDDY J he yanked the fish of the day 5 pound peacock another bowfin he also pulled out a pregnant largemouth but I got a hit and j had to jump on the landing net so we didnt get a pic. we landed some other small bass and i got another bowfin that clamped down on my thumb when i was getting the hook out. sliced my thumb pretty nice lol. besides stepping over a huge water moccasin and nearly getting my finger bitten off by a bowfin it was a great day. later, Dan Quote

Miami? actually its a 10 mile canal system that runs through parts of boca and deerfield beach. great body of water... tarpon, bass, peacocks, snook and channel cats. if you learn the fish patterns you can catch a ton of monsters in a very short period of time...most of those peacocks were caught within a 30 minute period of time.
