we had a good trip but the fishing wasnt at its best.  he caught one all by himself, and i caught one decent one that we both took a pic with.  when i set the hook on this fish, my berkly cherrywood light rod snapped in two places!!  but i reeled it in with no guides and about a foot of rod left.  i guess thats what happens when your used to using MH and H rods and you set the hook with a light that t spooled with 10lb power pro.  hopefully wally world will replace it.

his fish was caught using a t-rigged weightless trick worm and mine was on a live magic shad.  was a good time!!

Congrats to you nephew and sorry to hear about his rod. I would probably at least try to return it. Just take your nephew with you. Who could say no to that cute little face.  ;D

FYI, walmart replaced the rod, no questions asked and with no receipt.  so we are back in business, cept i think i will respool with regular mono now!!
