I heard alot of bad comments on the lures but also a few good ones in some forums. I was thinking of buying a Bluegill and bass candy this winter. The thing I notice about alot of swimbait guys is they are big supporters of the local small companies and dislike bigger companies who copy baits and it makes it hard to tell what is the truth and what is biased. I just want to know if anyone has tried any of the reaction strike hard swimbaits and what they think I know they are not perfect most manufactured swimbaits are not. But are they worth trying??

My .02 on Reaction Strike:

First and foremost I feel that they need they're own ideas.

Wood baits:  while their wood baits will catch fish, the construction is poor. Paint flakes, tails break etc.  I feel that if you spend the money you might as well clear coat it yourself or have it custom painted.  You will be happier with your bait.

Soft plastic baits: Don't see much from these.  Action is very subtle to nonexistent at best.  Baits like the harasser and Poseidon barely swim.

Paddle tubes: Their fatheads and like baits are actually not bad at all.  But how can you fail at copying a basstrix?

Honestly, I gave up trying to find a reactionstrike bait that I couldn't live without.

I like their paddle tail swimbaits much better than Luck E strike or strike king's but I can't say anything about the hard baits.

Swimbaits are not something you really wanna skimp on. Good swimbaits are priced high for a reason. Reaction Strike claims to have not copied any ones baits, but clearly they have. My buddy bought the Bass Candy off ebay for a deal he couldnt pass up. Well, the first cast with it the tail came off. It might seem like a great deal, but its not.

Better lures out there for the money.
