JShrock07 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I was heading to the Potomac river tonight for a tournament and while traveling down 95, You wouldn't beleive who I saw. None other then Scott Martin. I thought it was cool as hell I have never even met a pro but driving side by side his nice looking set-up just made my Nitro boat look like crap. I took pics but I used my buddies phone and I didn't get them yet so sorry. And if Scott Martin ever checks this place he needs to take me out I've got a challenge for him!!! HAHA Well to get to the tournament we started off great we boated 3 2.5lbers. in the first 20 mins of fishing with the rage tail toad. But after those we didn't do so well. Then we decided to take about a 20 min run up to the ship wrecks and we hammered 'em there. I was throwing a rage tail shad and my partner was throwing an *** frog. He was killing them but we could barley get anything over 12" on the frog. I hooked what I would say would be about 5-6lb bass and I got him right to the boat and i reached down to grab him and he shook the hook. We finished pretty far down with only 8lb 11oz. 8-) Quote
rondef Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Joe that is awesome, I love Scott Martin and his show, I even have a signed picture of him with a hawg in my sports bar. Jason and I have learned a lot from him. We are also looking at hooking up with him (he is a guide) to fish next year. I really would love to see those pictures when you get them posted. Sorry to hear you lost a hawg tonight, maybe you will catch him on the next trip. Were you over at the graveyard of ships? Quote

GonzoFishing Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Very cool. I like his show as well. Too bad it was not charlie moore because you could have run him off the road ;D Funny you mention Charlie Moore. I met a kid (maybe 12 years old) at walmart that claims he beat Charlie Moore on his show while bass fishing. According to the kid he beat him so bad that they decided not to air the show. Dont know how true that is but the kid did know alot about bass fishing. I'd like to wup up on Charlie myself! Quote
JShrock07 Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Sorry it took me so long to get the photo up but here it is. Quote
fishingfourfun Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Rondef- Let me know when you go to Clewiston to fish with Scott. I lived a couple of roads away from him. He is a couple of years younger than me and he is truly a nice guy. The town is very quiet, not much for the night lufe. The Tiki bar at the marina is about all you will find to keep you interested at night. Quote
rondef Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Nice picture Joe, thanks for posting it. Scott is a member of this forum in case you didn't know. Quote
Mrs. Matstone Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Congrats on the outing and sorry to hear that you lost the big fish. You will get him next time. I have no idea who Scott Martin is but it sure is a nice rig he has there. :-[ ;D Quote
